- GEMS Club (Girls Excelling in Math and Science) – Girls have a bright future in Science and GEMS Club will continue to help them shine! GEMS Club offers the perfect opportunity for young girls to learn and grow as they discover the exciting world of math, science, engineering and technology. Dinner and refreshments will be provided. This program is open to girls in grades 3rd-8th and a $10 registration fee is required per session. 25 girls max. per session, so register early to save your spot! Click here for more information.
- STEM Inventor’s Challenge – The South Florida Science Center is excited to announce the Stile’s Nicholson Foundation STEM Inventor’s Challenge during the 2016-2017 school year. The purpose of this grant is to engage students in STEM content by utilizing emerging technologies to creatively solve difficult problems. We are partnering with five Jupiter middle schools, approximately 150 youth and 5 teachers to provide them with 3D printers and workshop planned design challenge process. Students will work through an iterative design process structured around a design competition keyed to three separate design challenges with points awarded to the solutions that best meet the instructions provided to participants.
